Multiple OS
Discover which Operating Systems you'll be able to run on your server.
An Operating System is the software that interacts with the hardware of a computer system and is the intermediary between the installed applications and the hardware, including peripherals such as a printer, a computer mouse or a keyboard. When you run software, it sends requests to the OS using an API (Application Program Interface) and the interaction is done through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Similar to a personal computer, web hosting servers also use an Operating System which acts as a host for all of the software installed on them, including script applications or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, etc. A virtual machine can be set up on a physical one, so it is possible to install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment in contrast with the physical server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
Our
virtual private server packages feature three Linux releases which you can choose from for the Operating System of your new server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Aside from being absolutely free, the OSs are really stable and protected and the primary reason to offer you all three of them is to make sure that you will be able to run any kind of application that you would like, because different pieces of software may have different requirements when it comes to the environment they can be used on. Each one of the three OSs is supported by a huge community of web developers who have made many hundreds of software packages which you can install and use on your VPS. In accordance with the Operating System that you choose, you will also be able to choose between three different Control Panels to handle your website hosting content. Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
The
dedicated server packages that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to select from. They are all Linux distributions - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license charges, but they are also regarded as the most stable and secure OSs. We supply three different ones as each one of them is supported by a separate community. The packages that you can add on your web server are different and this may matter if you need to install some piece of software with particular requirements for the hosting environment. In this light, the web hosting Control Panel which you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the Operating System that you will select. You can select any of the three Operating Systems during the order procedure, however if necessary, we can always install the server once again with another one upon your request. As an additional service that you could add to the plan at any time, we can update your OS on a regular basis so as to keep it as risk-free as possible.
