Dot NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME TLD is the only one supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. Initially, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken third-level names remained running.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular conditions on who can get a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
